Donald Joseph Qualls, better popularly known as DJ Qualls is an American model and actor. Apart from the Road Trip role, he was also a part of The New Guy Hustle & Flow in addition to The Core. The actor has also been featured in more than 22 shows on television including Breaking Bad Supernatural Scrubs Lost Law & Order as well as other. A survivor of Hodgkin's lymphoma and diagnosed at the age of 14 Qualls is a fighter. Within two years the cancer is now into the stage of remission. But, earlier treatment had a severe impact on his health and stunted development. After he began taking on the role of an actor, financial security was the goal. He had experienced poverty in his childhood. When he was interviewed, he said that if I don't achieve money security or have a feeling of being out of touch with the world, then I'm going to feel miserable. Also, looking back to his childhood, he wants to do something about the bullying issue. DJ states "Cruelty causes pain to my soul." The perfect role for DJ is that of a real-life father. The director admits that they don't want to cast him in these role. He'd love to become a dad one day, so he can devote more time to the child and less to his career.
